Taipei 101

The most famous building in my city is the Taipei 101. It is downtown, near the business center.

Taipei 101 was designed by CY Lee. He is a great designer, and Taipei 101 was the tallest building in the world from 2004 until 2010.

Taipei 101 has 101 floors, like its name. The tower is designed to withstand typhoons and earthquakes. Taipei 101's characteristic is blue-green glass curtain walls and over 100 ruyis. The uryi means heavenly clouds.

There are over hundreds of fashionable stores, restaurants and clubs in Taipei 101. The 1st floor to 6th floor is a shopping mall, and after the 6th floor there are office floors. An observatory, restaurants, and an observatory deck are at the top of the buliding.

The most popular attraction to visit is observatory. You can take the elevator go to the top. Then you can see 360-degree views. You also can buy some food, drinks and souvenirs there.

My experiences in San Diego

I’ve been here for two months. I’ve been to some famous places in San Diego.
I’ve been to La Jolla. There was a beautiful beach and a lot of stores on the street. It was very leisurely to take a walk. I loved it. I’ve been to Balboa Park. There was Spanish architecture and museum there. I’ve been to Horton Plaza and Gaslamp Quarter. I’ve bought some clothes in Abercrombie & Fitch, but I haven’t tried any food in Gaslamp Quarter. I’ve been to Sea World. I saw Shamu Show and Dolphin Discovery. I also played Journey To Atlantis. It was very exciting. I’ve been to Coronado by ferry. I visited Hotel del Coronado which was the historical hotel.

I LIVE IN TAIPEI

I live in Taipei, which is the capital of Taiwan. It’s a prosperous city. The most important international business centers and famous architectures are here. The most famous architecture is “Taipie 101”, which is the highest building in Taiwan. Taipei 101 has 101 floors.

By the way, if you want to go shopping, we can provide a lot of different style department stores or shopping malls for you. If you want to try local food, there are many delicious restaurants here. One of the biggest tourist attractions is the night market. You can eat all local food there, and it’s very cheap. You also can find some bargains there. It’s a good deal.

The weather is like spring all the year around in Taipei. But during summer months, it often rains in the afternoon.
Taipei is a human interest city, that’s why I love it so much. People are friendly and patient, they’re also enthusiastic.

If you want to heve a great trip, please come to my city, I’m sure you’ll have an unforgettable experience!

What do you think your country will be like in 20 years?

I think my country will be more prosperous in 20 years. The transportation will get better and better. The buildings will be more mordern and most people who walk on the road their outlook will be more fashionable. But the poor people will get more and more. A lot of people won't find jobs, so they won't want to have a baby and then the population will decrease. The environment will get worse and worse because people won't know how to keep natural resources. They won't cherish what they own. Family relationships won't be close because most people's throughts will change. They will become more selfish people. Then men with women will have bad relationships because they will just want to have fun.

921 EARTHQUAKE

This was a nature disaster. The magnitude 7.3 earthquake happened on Sept. 21. 1999 in Taiwan. The earthquake struck at 1:47 AM when most people were sleeping. The earthquake and aftershocks killed over 2,000 people and destroyed nearly 40,000 homes. A lot of houses collapsed. The earthquake also devastated a large part of the roads. One amazing thing happened. The pair of brothers were under the rubble. They drank their urine and ate bad apples until the fifth day when hope came. The rescue personnel saved them. They were survivors from this earthquake.
